Hey family of mine. Just making sure some of you are still out there.
Tomorrow's interview #1. Please wish me luck!!!
Interviewing with a permanent placement temp/staffing agency - hopefully this can be a source of steady work. I have to do computer standards tests - typing speed, excel, etc. I am SOOO not worried about those.
If it goes poorly--we'll lets just say I have a $2 bottle of wine and a $4 bottle of champagne who will greet me with open arms! Just kidding.
I'm fascinated by all your goings on, not to mention your considerable personal grit. I appreciate it wasn't the easiest thing to do, but I'm very, very glad you called me.
ReplyDeleteWork has been extremely busy, whcih is what you get when a Democrat comes the White House (with a Democratic Congress no less) after eight years of Republican administration. I think everyone in my office will be thankful when Congress leaves town for its August recess.
The Senators won last night, which is rarer than a blue moon. Seriously, last night was their second win in their last thirteen games. Jefferson girls basketball had better seasons. Still, hope springs eternal, and the incompetance of our local team hasn't dulled my love for The National Pasttime. At the end of August Jim Picard, Dean Horvath and I are going to three major league games in three nights: Philly on Friday, Yankee Stadium on Saturday and the O's Sunday. Reminds me of weekends you and I spent watching the Senators (only a whole different magnitude of expense).
I hope you are taking me up on my suggestion to visit Daniel and Katie. It would clear your head.
I'll call you very soon (maybe even this afternoon).
Love always,
Dad
